About

I write books and things and build websites.

I’ve written three books of Australian history for children (published under the name Chris Miles) and have contributed, under a house name, to a best-selling action series aimed at reluctant readers.

I’ve also had short fiction for children and adults published in journals and anthologies, and have worked as a magazine editor and feature writer.

As a freelance web developer I’ve built websites for businesses, community groups and individuals, including best-selling children’s authors Andy Griffiths and Carole Wilkinson. A gallery of my website designs is available on my Flickr page.

I blog about my children’s books at chrismiles.com.au, and maintain a somewhat more “irreverent” blog at slimejam.net under the guise Slimejam St. Herpeschoir.

My interests include Doctor Who, pizza, Lego™ and Dungeons & Dragons. Readers may draw their own conclusions about my physiognomy, health, social skills and sexual aptitude.

I currently reside in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, with my partner, our daughter and the ghosts of three chickens.

Please feel free to electronically befriend me at Twitter and Goodreads.
